Can you go wrong in putting knowledge into specializations? Would you be able to unapply knowledge if you decided to change a specialization? I didn’t go into professions in DF because it seemed to complicated.

Lore itself is important, regardless if people want to read it or listen / dig deeper into it. If we didn't have it , we wouldn't have 3d characters that give us great cutscenes and how we enjoy or hate some characters. When it comes to the lore in Shadowlands, the main issue was that Blizzard had continued to just throw crap at the player base without thinking about how it impacted characters. With Chris coming back to Blizzard and from what has happened with The War Within, I think Blizzard is on the right track to get back to where they used to be. Strong lore with characters that are 3d so to speak.

I think he's Alive, but trapped in the Void -- May return as an Ethereal of somesort, and no... not Locus-Walker. I think that this is a way to put Khadgar on the backburner temporarily to give a reason for Medivh to return -- Azeroth must always have a Guardian. Its also possible, that we will have a return to Tirisfall and Lorderon wil be rebuilt and a new council of mages will be restablished - Leading to possibly Jaina becoming the new Guardian.

I think for me the problem is blizzard and all game companies want “all” the money . If blizzard said hey you can pay for early access and we are no longer selling micro transactions than I would say “cool I guess” But these companies can’t be satisfied with some money or a lot of money they need ALL the money. I don’t know the solution but I wil say early access for a social based game I think is bad Early access for …. Skyrim 11 … not “so bad” to that makes sense

I didn't think he died either. No body (Voljin) or death scene (Varian), equals not dead until you see one of those two. I disagree with the making him evil notion. People are tired of the making a well liked character evil after Sylvanas, etc It's old and has been used too much. Blizzard knows they would really make the community mad (to put it lightly) if they bring him back just to make him evil. Personally, I think Zal stashed him somewhere and we will find him/save him.

I bought it the first day it came out a year ago, early access wasnt even ob my mind at the time and not the reason i bought it. But I think EA paid or not is dumb in general and prefer to not have it but in the end i dont really care all that much, its not gonna make me boycott a game i want to play.

Everything will eventually even out after a few weeks. But I agree. We've never had early access before but suddenly on the 10th expansion we'll give it a try? Expansion releases, is the one time everyone finally starts on an even playing field. It's fun and a community experience to have everyone log in, and crash the servers and fight for the mobs and the drops in all the quest zones. Everyone is posting and playing on the AH, and players are rushing to get World First and Server first max level FoS. Guilds funneling XP and mats into their friends. All of that was taken away

Alodi and some other past guardians have presences still. Medivh was messed up royally by Sargeras and still has a presence. Alodi. heck even non mages like Admiral Taylor. So I can envision a vey tired Khadgar in the storm window room of Karazhan right now, his books eagerly flapping open to cauterizing spells.

And it was a stupid idea to release the game on Monday(US) and Tuesday(EU) but early access of course was on weekend!

It used to matter a lot more, when we were isolated to a few known parts of Azeroth. But with the all the cosmic stuff, it matters less and less so, because they can just make up whatever they want. But the lore really impacted how you felt about the game up until Wotlk, after that the moment were rare, Garrosh, Legion as an expansion, can't think of much since Legion.

What about people without endgame dragonflight gear. Sigh

the three points here dont feel like a reason not to do this again, but It does feel like other games this will be less effective. fomo is real, and in a social game with many players hopelessly addicted, that fomo will push them to pay for the extra few days (and all the other bells and whistles like the early beta access). for point 2, there has always been separations at all levels in wow players, the fact some people come into a raid not knowing what's going on, and some people have been practicing bosses on beta, for the vast majority of people playing it makes no real difference. The fact that the cap is 2 weeks from launch is more then enough time for everyone who wants to level and gear up to pre-season 1 max to do so. 3 days with the cap outside of a season will not make a difference in 10 days from now. As for improper balance of players at 70, everyone who participated in beta were aware of this, blizzard didn't think it was an issue, until it was. however, unlike Remix, player power has a hard early cap. Honestly, blizzard made some extra money, for little effort and because of gating there is limited amount of advantage anyone can get for 3 extra days.

I really don’t have any issues with Blizzard offering early access. I also don’t care if people think they are better than me. My world is full and perfect and their little child lives don’t matter to me at all. Someone wants to play that game, I can ignore them, silence them and just not team with them.

Myself n my partner had early access, but that's not what we paid for.. we both just wanted the extra goodies from the heroic edition. We took part all the same, got to lvl80 the evening that the expansion released and already some of the players in the community we're in that didn't have EA have taken over us whether by ilvl or renown rank. I don't think people like the idea of paying extra to play a few days early so I don't think they should do it again.. but not all EAers exploited bad scaling or attempted to ruin the AH, some of us were just enjoying the game 🙂 (50k is not that much gold these days, especially not in 24hrs 😅)

I'm used to FFXIV's early access, so it didn't really phase me and I felt like they did enough gating that the EA advantages would quickly be trivialized with Mythic raid and Mythic+ three weeks out. I do feel like Remix should've given them a clue that their dungeon scaling could stand to be adjusted though. Getting Pathfinder, getting your Renown up, gearing... none of it takes long at all. I hope anybody feeling anxiety about having missed EA is able to pretty quickly see that they really didn't miss much unless they wanted to level a ton of toons. But even then, I don't know how big the impact of this morning's scaling nerf has been on time to reach 80.

I was already leaning towards "he'll be back" after the cinematic, but the thing that made me entirely confident that he isn't dead is the Wondrous Wisdomball companion being changed to not respond. If they had killed off a beloved character like this for good, I don't believe they'd be so unkind as to take away a companion featuring that character. It feels like that was done to stoke the flames of hope and speculation precisely because he isn't dead.

Well...we don't know how much of the Khadgar scene happened in Alleria's head. Her greatest fear is not being able to protect the people she loves, so what better way for that purple bitch to get to her? In the meantime, Dadgar is a prisoner in the Void. Or something. Of course, the Death Knight fan-girl in me says we'll see him in Icecrown when we get to The Last Titan. LOL.

good, this was needed. If you went into a normal dungeon as an 80 a full dragonflight geared out 70 will appear like they are doing 5m dps and that's just out of hand.

The lore matters it helps create hype foe the expansion. MoP had the thunder king and he was dope with good lote. In TWW it's a bunch of edgy cringe females and either dorky of lame males the ones they didn't kill off. It's the first thing you see in game I can already tell that this expansion and the following three are gonna be filled with TikTok worthy righting and story developement.

Here is my experience, I have no FOMO at all, but when Overwatch opened for beta (OV1), i didnt even pay atention on the game, but, after play open beta (kinda a early access), that open beta made me buy the game because the game was good, so, no FOMO was required. So, Early Access do work when done right.

I just returned to WoW (since WotLK), my main is level 79.7. Guess I'll if there's much of a difference as I start my first Alts journey from 70-80.

Lets me say this from a person who bought the poor version of the game lol people were going insane in dungeons i would be doing my normal rotation on my ele shaman and look over at the dps meter and see a level 71 ret pally at 75 million dps while the rest of the dps was at like average of 6 million. So maybe that does need to be toned down a bit.

Atleast they let non early access folx to have a few days as well
